Individual Sessions
Individual sessions are between a mental health treatment professional who works with the patient or client on a one-to-one basis.
Our goal with individual therapy is to increase one’s understanding of their thought and behavior patterns to learn how to effectively manage stress, interpersonal difficulties and troubling situations. They may develop abilities to make healthy decisions, set goals and become more self-aware.
Costs:
Individual sessions - $125/hour
Case management - $100/hour
Modalities
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): Psychological problems are based, in part, on cognitive distortions that are sometimes learned behaviors. Therapy focuses on learning better ways of coping and relieving symptoms.
Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT): a flexible, stage-based therapy that combines principles of behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and mindfulness
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT): focused on discarding ineffective and maladaptive verbal strategies to be replaced with acceptance of one’s thoughts and feelings.
Motivational counseling: person-centered therapy with the intention of addressing one’s ambivalence towards change, utilizing the four principles of the motivational interviewing process (engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning).
Mindfulness & trauma informed: a conscious awareness of our present moment through a therapeutic lens and the understanding that trauma impacts our health and behavior.
